“Dearest Jerome,

Hope you got home O.K. I sure hated to see you go alone last nite. I got so lonesome after you left I just cried.

I sure have felt tough all day. I’ve got the flu I guess.

Cliff is all set to go hunting in the morning. He’s taking the day off so Dad & I are alone.

Did you see Jean after you got back I spose you did. You forgot to take those pictures along we took on our trip.

Cliff is going to write to Beany when he comes home tonite. I am to.
