“Dearest Ome,
Dad met me last nite, Cliff wasnt home yet but come shortly after I go to bed. Guess he had play cards.
I cleaned my house good today and got now 2 pheasants roasting in the stove for supper. Wished you were here to have some. Tonite I have to go to a Com. meeting in the church basement. Its for a lutefisk supper Nov 6. I have to work there. Thurs I serve for W.R.C. and Thurs eve is rebecca lodge.
Dad says he feels about the same. He’s not any worse. I guess its just a gas stomach he has. He’ll have to be careful what to eat.
We didn’t get no mail from Beany or Milly yet. I’m so sleepy I can hardly see.
Well Ome there’s no news and will write you again in a few days. Be careful and greet Jean. Let us know if you hear anymore about the Army.
Love from us all,
Mom”
