Fort Snelling draftee medical exam

“My Dear Ome,

Got your card today and was I tickled to see my boy dont have to go. I just kissed and hugged that card to beat the band. Yes I bet Jean was glad.

I had a card from Beany today. He didnt send no address yet as he didnt know. They have one month of maneuvers. I sure feel for him.

We cleaned the front room yesterday and it sure looks nice. We went over the walls with steel wool and it sure got clean.

To bad you aint coming home Sat eve but will look for you the next weekend for sure.

Write soon.

Love, Mom”
