Courthouse Columbia, South Carolina

United States Court House, located on historic Arsenal Hill, near the Governor’s Mansion was dedicated January 18, 1937. Within this beautiful building are the U.S. District Court Rooms, Offices of the Internal Revenue Department and the Weather Bureau.

“Dear Jerry,

Well, it has finally happened. No one here is excited about it as they think most of the fighting will be with the Navy and Air Force.

I’m not sure if we get leaves or not. I’ll let you know.

I only hope Susan, Lorne, and Milly are safe. From their letters they are well fortified and in not too much danger. I don’t think they will monkey with Hawaii any more.

Write,

Beany”
