“Dear J & J,

Just a note- I am writing everyone a card today to help pass away the day. Spent last night in Nashville. Shower- a steak- and a good movie. Today we are drying out after a two day rain.

How is the meat rationing going to affect your work? Better get the car fixed before winter sets in. Don’t know where I’ll land after maneuvers but the cadre may still go out. More later.

Love, Beany”
