WAVES recruiting pamphlet

“Dearest Jerry, Jean & Vern,

We sure miss you Beany around here. It has been so lonesome after you left. I sure felt bad I couldnt make a lunch box for you to take along but I know Jean & Jerry will do that.

I was up and spent the afternoon with Dad today. He felt good only some gas pains now and then. He wants to come home Sunday and will if all is well then. He wants to keep his nurse till he comes home. Hes some what nervous to I think. Dale Perry went up to give him a shave tonite before he went home for his supper.

Milly had a letter from Dolores and shes in Great Lakes. So maybe you could call her Beany. Thats not so far away.

Milly had Jody, Jed, Mr. & Mrs. Waltman up for coffee this P.M. Waltmans left today for Hibbing. That old man you helped in at the hosp. died last nite Jerry. There is quite a write up in the press about who were here last week.

Am so glad Cliff got a ticket the day he left and that Eleanor went to see him off. Beany have a good time while in St. Paul and please drop us a card when you get back. I’ll drop you a card Jerry & Jean often.

All for now,

Mom”
