Cleaning Barracks
“Dear Jean and Jerry,
Just a line tonight- we are busy cleaning the barracks for inspection tomorrow. I’ve written you two letters the past ten days or so- there’s something funny about the mail lately. Mom wrote as if I hadn’t been writing, too.
I am still working at the hospital. It’s warm here but not like the heat you’ve been having. Haven’t heard from Beany for quite a while. Is Dolores home yet- ask her if she received my letter.
I’ll bet your house is all spiffed up now. Did you start at the new job?
