“Dear Kiddos,
I’m back but naturally not in a good mood. I am unpacked and we leave in the morning for a few days in the field so I’ll not be able to write in detail until the weekend.
We had an excellent time in Chicago but darned expensive. We took another of those night club photos and will send it later. Thank you both again for helping me have such a wonderful time. (The best yet.) Jean, please ask you folks to forgive me, huh?
