Hospital Ward, New Caledonia

“Dear Jean & Jerry,

Today I’m writing to you, Beany and the folks. I am feeling fine and everything is O.K. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving- we had a very good dinner- turkey and all that goes with it.

I haven’t received any mail yet but expect there will be some soon. My letters to you will be short and much the same because there isn’t much to write about. I expect you are very busy at work now, Jean with the Christmas rush so near. How are Nelson, Applebaums and Co. doing? Write often and give me all the news.

Bye for now.
