US Servicemen in New Zealand
“Dear Folks,
I’m at a fine place now and like it so much. It’s almost like being back home. The country is much like Minnesota and although the people are different they are swell.
We are getting fine food, lots of milk and vegetables. Guess they will get us in shape to throw us in again. Hope everything is going nicely back there.
I have enclosed a little gift for you and Pop. Sorry it isn’t more, but you know how I spend money, and I certainly am doing it here. It’s the first money I’ve been able to spend in a year.
