Coconuts Of New Hebrides

Coconuts Of New Hebrides

“Dear Jean & Jerry,

Received your letter of the 25th- V-mail service is usually very good so you had better use it most of the time. I see that you are both very busy at work now. Keep that good meat coming to the army, Jerry! Most of our food is dehydrated- it will be a treat to have fresh things to eat again when we get back.

Today is Sunday here. I’m writing letters this morning and plan to go to the beach this afternoon if the rain stops for a while. We have a movie here tonight.

Mom sent me a picture of Susan and their Xmas tree. Susan is sure a sweet girl- she’s so darn cute on that picture. We aren’t allowed to take pictures here- at least not for the time being.

Did you find your missing roll of film? I’ll be sending you a coconut in a few days- of course, it will take quite a while to reach you!

By for now. Write often.

Love, Cliff”

Susan is still a sweet person!
