Packages From Home WWII

“Dear Jean & Jerry,

Received your air-mail of March 7th on the 25th and your package came yesterday- thanks for both. You fixed up a very nice assortment in that package and I’ll enjoy it all very much. So far I’ve eaten some of the candy.

The Feb 27th issue of the Mpls. paper came yesterday so I spent last evening reading. Today I’m going to a ball game and plan to see a movie tonight.

I wrote to Lorne this week and to Beany twice- I received another V-mail from Beany dated March 6th. It was my first letter from him in a long time. You’d better keep sending him packages, as it seems he can’t buy much where he is at. I’d sure like some of those homemade cookies!

Did you see any of the State basketball games this year? Thanks again for the package.
