Toll House Cookies

Toll House Cookies

“Hope you had a happy birthday, Jerry!

Dear Jean & Jerry,

I just opened your package and have sampled the cookies- they are very good. Home baking is really a treat out here- be sure to thank your mother, Jean, for baking them. It was very nice of her. I’m saving the cheese and crackers to have with beer some evening. Thanks for everything!

Your V-mail of May 12th came last night- I was glad to hear that you have been getting my letters. I know they are short but there’s not much we can write about. I try to keep them coming to you regularly.

Glad to hear that you had a nice time on your anniversary. Where does Jim Rebeck work now? Mom wrote about you helping them in your spare time. I guess you are kept plenty busy, eh, Jerry?

I’ve gotten several letters from Mom this week beside some newspapers and two packages- no news from Beany lately.

Love,

Cliff”
