Pacific Award Ceremony, 1944
“Dear Jean & Jerry,
By now you are back home again after your trip to the lake. I hope you had a very good time and that you enjoyed good weather. With all the rain you’ve been having I imagine that the weather was an uncertainty. I am anxious to hear about it so I will be expecting a long letter.
I received two V-mails from Beany this week- dated May 30th, and June 4th. I hope you have received more recent news from him. Your last V-mail to me was of June 19th.
It is raining today so I’ll be spending the day in the area. I am at the Dental Clinic right now. I’m on duty for a couple of hours this morning.
On Friday we stood another formation at a ceremony decorating a colonel for service in the Medical Corp. He received the Bronze Star.
Did I tell you that I sent another coconut? You should be getting it soon. So long for now.
