“My Dear J. & J.,

I came from Milbank last nite. I bought a ticket and came here on 16. Seemed funny to buy a ticket.

Last nite Lund, Ella, Lila and I played whist. Today am asked over for coffee. Tonite Lila and I are going to Past Noble Grand Club at Leo Miller’s and Thurs nite Lund and Lila is having three tables bridge for me. They are all so nice to me. But memories come to me of everything here so thats hard to take.

Leonard left today on 15 for Portland. He weighs 210 lbs. I had such a nice time with them all.

I got your cute letter. Thanks. I hope we hear from our dear Beany soon.

I may come home Sat eve. Be good kids. Will see you soon.

Mom”
