Christmas Mail On The Way To The Pacific

Christmas Mail On The Way To The Pacific

“Dear Jean & Jerry,

Received both of your Xmas packages and your V-mail of Nov. 19th. Thanks so much for the good things you sent. Everything was wrapped so nice. I am saving the Xmas cheer until later. So far I’ve gotten twelve packages including the camera and socks that Mom sent.

I received a V-mail from Beany dated Nov. 8th. He said he was getting along fine with his platoon. He mentioned a possible chance of a trip to Paris but perhaps the latest offensive stopped him from going there.

By now Milly & Lorne are in Arkansas. I hope he will be assigned to a camp in the States now.

You are sure working long hours, Jerry. I don’t imagine you find much time for anything else.

Our movie last night was ‘Cover Girl’ with Rita Hayworth. Have you seen it? We have four or five movies a week.

I still don’t have any snapshots for you but hope to soon. Mom said that she was sending me some pictures soon that you took recently.

Do you have any snow at home yet? It’s been quite warm here the past few days. Thanks again for the Xmas packages. Write!

Love,

Cliff”
