“Dear Kids,

We left Mpls Monday 8:10 got to Keewanee about 9:30 and was it ever cold. We left there at 8:30 today Tues and got to Cairo about 8:30 tonite.

We had T Bone steak supper and we are in our hotel room now. No trouble with the car or trailer.

We came into warmer weather about 3:00 today. No snow here and mild so we are out of cold weather seems funny. Sniffy is enjoying a bone now I took along from my supper. He’s been very good. Sure is having his car ride now.

Ill write you soon as we get to Ga. We’ll be there Wed nite.

I love you.

Love,

Mom”
