“Dear Jean and Jerry,

I was released from the hospital yesterday morning and I started work again today at the Dental Clinic. After I got back to the barracks yesterday I cleaned my room, saw a ball game in the afternoon and went to a show in camp last night. It sure seems swell to be back to duty again as it gets tiresome sitting around a hospital room.

“Dear Jean and Jerry,

I’m playing a new role in the hospital set-up now- that of being a patient. I’ve been sick with chills, fever, and I had a swelling on the right side of my face. I was sent to the hospital last Saturday after reporting on sick call the first time on Fri. morning. I’m feeling much better now. I’m O.K. except for my face and that is coming along fine. I guess I must have caught a cold that settled in my cheek.
