“Dear Mom & Pop,

Ended up at this place a week ago, sick as the devil. Was flown out by plane, but could not appreciate the ride. I am all right now, but will probably be here for a couple more weeks and then go back to my outfit. Write to my old address.

Love,

Lorne”

Got your birthday card. Thanxs. Everything O.K. here. Nothing new to write about. Wish I were home again for a big dinner with all the trimmings. Awfully boring here now. All there is to think about is home and food. We are interrupted once in a while, but it isn’t bad.

Love, Lorne”
